Donald Trump, of the Republican Party in the USA, has named pro-life Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his vice-presidential running mate. Michael Richard "Mike" Pence was born on June 7, 1959. He is a politician and an attorney who has been serving as the 50th Governor of Indiana since 2013. He served as Chairman of the House Republican Conference from 2009 to 2011.
On Twitter. Donald J. Trump announced, "I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate."
Pence has been married to  Karen Pence since 1985. The couple has three children: Michael, Charlotte, and Audrey. He describes himself as an Evangelical Catholic.Pence was born in Columbus, Indiana, one of six children of Nancy Jane (born Cawley) and Edward J. Pence, Jr., who were Irish Catholic 
“Throughout my public career, I have stood for the sanctity of life.” Governor Pence said in a statement. Pence continued: “I believe that a society can be judged by how it deals with its most vulnerable—the aged, the infirm, the disabled and the unborn.” According to Pence,
 “Our tax dollars should not be spent on abortions. I know it. You know it. Let’s make sure every member of Congress knows it,” he concluded.
